The new project 'German Italian Fashion Experience' by the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana and the Fashion Council Germany was founded to provide rising design labels a platform for the presentation of their products to professionals of the fashion business. The Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana is known for important trend spots such as Milan Fashion Week and members like Armani, Gucci, Prada, Versace,... The Fashion Council Germany is mainly active in the support of young designers. At the website german-italian-fashion-experience.com, the initiative is introduced with short biographies of the twenty designers - 10 from Italy, 10 from Germany, such as Gilberto Calzolani, representative of typical 'Made in Italy'-craftsmanship and winner of several awards such as the Franca Sozzani Green Carpet Award as Best Emerging Designer in 2018, or German designer Lara Krude, winner of the Designer for Tomorrow Award (2017) by Peek & Cloppenburg under the patronage of Stella McCartney.
The participating fashion brands from Italy are Gentile Catone, Gilberto Calzolari, Apnoea, Melampo, MRZ, Radica Studio, Tiziano Guardini, DassłYAmoroso, and the accessories labels Amato Daniele, Michele Chiocciolini. The fashion brands from Germany are Antonia Zander, Buki Akomolafe, Julia Leifert, Lara Krude, Natascha von Hirschhausen, Nina Rein, Working Title, Oftt, and the accessories labels Faulhaber Products, Lutz Morris.
