Insights into MQ Vienna Fashion Week: IMAATU Spring/Summer 2023 'Heroine' Collection

Austrian-Nigerian designer Omatu's latest IMAATU collection 'Heroine' with Spring/Summer looks for festive events is inspired by women who are emphasizing their femininity and don't hide it such as the designer explains at the press release on occasion of the runway presentation that happened yesterday on 15 September at the MQ Vienna Fashion Week. "Female heroes, i.e. heroines, like Amazons, Vikings and female gladiators and warriors have always fascinated me. Unyielding, proud, brave and strong," says Omatu about her creations for the new collection of her label IMAATU consisting of key pieces like the top (on view on this page, picture left and in the middle) that appears like a reference to a classical chest protector.
