The Austrian Fashion Awards 2023 went to rosa mosa and Christoph Rumpf

Yesterday, the Austrian Fashion Association (AFA), as a partner of the Federal Government and the City of Vienna, presented the winners of the Austrian Fashion Awards at the event location Reaktor in Vienna. With total prize money of up to 20,000 euros, the official Austrian Fashion Awards are among the most important and highly endowed design awards in Austria. The ceremony was attended by guests from the Viennese fashion and entertainment industry, including fashion photographers Michael Dürr and Rafaela Pröll, fashion designer Arthur Arbesser, Mister Austria Alexander Höfler and Elvyra Geyer & Zigi Mueller-Matyas, organizers of the MQ Vienna Fashion Week.

The 'outstanding artist award für experimentelles Modedesign' from the BMKÖS (Federal Ministry for Arts, Culture, the Civil Service and Sport) was awarded to Simone Springer and Yuji Mizobuchi for their shoe and accessories label rosa mosa. The prize of the City of Vienna 'Modepreis der Stadt Wien' went to Christoph Rumpf. In addition to the ceremony, works by designers who were supported in 2022 via the Austrian Fashion Association's AFA support program or the MODE start-up grant from the BMKÖS were shown: Christina Seewald, Christoph Rumpf, Dalia Hassan, Florentina Leitner, GÜÇ, HISU PARK, Jennifer Milleder, Florian Máthé, Julian Scarry, Sara Kickmayer.

The AFA funding database on https://www.austrianfashionassociation.at/förderdatenbank.html offers an overview of the designers and labels that have been supported with awards and funding from the Austrian Fashion Association, the BMKÖS, the Federal Chancellery, the City of Vienna and Wien Products since 2014. The database provides information about the type of funding, the funding amount, the composition of the juries and web links to the current 92 labels.
