The preparations for the Viennese ball season are in full swing. The season officially starts on November 11th and ends on Shrove Tuesday, in 2025 on March 4th. January and February are the months when most balls are scheduled. Whatever the preferences for an elegant dance event, the Vienna Opera Ball is the trendsetter every year with its own Couture Salon (article), where the gowns for the ballet dancers created by Austrian designers are shown a few days before the event, which takes place on February 27, 2025. The Couture Salon is just one of the fashion-related specials of the ball. Partnerships and collaborations included in 2024 brands like Swarovski, Humanic and Lancôme. The fashion department store chain Peek & Cloppenburg announced today that it will be once again the official fashion partner of the Vienna Opera Ball. Not only will Peek & Cloppenburg be presenting a wide range of ball gowns, including dresses for the debutantes, at its 15 fashion stores throughout Austria and online, but for the first time an exclusive selection of formal tailcoats will be available at its flagship stores on Kärntner Strasse and Mariahilfer Strasse. The company's complimentary personal shopping service, in which fashion experts provide advice on size, style and color preferences, is very practical for selecting from the wide range for elegant ball styling. The new service can be booked online or in-store. An in-house alteration service makes every garment fit for the ball! At the press preview, Peek & Cloppenburg offered a selection of men's wear and women's ball gowns in various styles and cuts, along with accessories such as gloves, handbags and elegant shoes. Fashion.at has selected three striking outfits from Peek & Cloppenburg's collection for the upcoming Vienna Opera Ball 2025, for a debutante, her mother and her grandmother. Images, from left: For the debutante, a white gown fit for a grand entrance was chosen. Dress by Unique. Her mother, who prefers a sophisticated, timeless look, wears an elegant emerald green dress with a pleated skirt reminiscent of a classic Greek dress. Dress by Lauren Ralph Lauren. The grandmother, a regular guest at the Vienna State Opera, chose a red gown to match the iconic red carpets and textiles of the opera house. Well, the opera is almost her second home. The skirt is similar to the debutante's dress, made of tulip petals-like arranged fabric panels. Dress by Laona. Photos: © Peek & Cloppenburg, peek-cloppenburg.at. |
