Save the Date: Austrian Fashion Shines during Paris Fashion Week

A Celebration of Austrian Creativity in Paris

During the upcoming Paris Fashion Week, from March 3 to 11, 2025, Austrian creatives will take the spotlight with unique presentations in fashion, shoe, bag, and hat design. The Austrian Fashion Association (AFA) announced this exciting showcase in their latest newsletter yesterday, setting the stage for an extraordinary celebration of Austrian design talent in the global fashion capital.

About the Austrian Fashion Association

The AFA is dedicated to supporting Austrian fashion designers on both national and international stages. Funded by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Arts, Culture, the Civil Service and Sport (BMKÖS) and other cultural bodies, the AFA promotes Austria's fashion industry through exhibitions, networking events, and international showcases. Their duties include organizing events like the Paris Fashion Week showcase, providing resources and mentorship for emerging designers, and fostering creative exchange to elevate Austrian fashion on a global scale.

AFA's Poster Installation

A highlight of the week will be AFA's striking outdoor exhibition in Paris' iconic Marais district. A large-scale poster installation will transform the public space into a visual stage for Austrian fashion designers. The curated photo series, shot by Geray Mena and styled by Sabina Schreder, showcases works from labels like Gatto, Julian Schock, Laura Andraschko, Martin Niklas Wieser, and Sans Contrefaçons. This project cleverly plays with luxury brand aesthetics while challenging fashion industry hierarchies and exploring how emerging designers can thrive amidst dominant luxury and fast fashion giants.

An exclusive Get-Together event for invited and registered guests is scheduled for March 9, 2025, from 19:00 to 22:00 at Galerie Lucid Interval (94 Rue Quincampoix, 75003 Paris).
