 Berlin Fashion Week commenced on January 31, 2025, and will run through February 3, 2025. This year's schedule offers a dynamic blend of fashion shows, insightful talks, and vibrant parties, reflecting Berlin's status as a burgeoning fashion capital. Notably, the event places a strong emphasis on discussions surrounding the circular economy, underscoring the industry's shift towards sustainable practices. The lineup features a mix of emerging designers and established international labels, including UGG, Levi's, and Swarovski. Marina Hoermanseder's 10th Anniversary Celebration A highlight of the opening day was the showcase by Berlin-based Austrian designer Marina Hoermanseder at the Hotel Oderberger. Celebrating a decade of her eponymous label, Hoermanseder hosted nearly 700 guests, presenting 35 unique looks under the festive theme "Birthday Party," complete with balloons, cakes, and flowers. Within this collection, she unveiled a special collaboration with LEGO, featuring four women's and one men's design adorned with LEGO Botanicals, symbolizing a fusion of fashion and playful creativity. LEGO Botanicals is a collection of buildable botanical sets for adults, featuring highly detailed and realistic representations of plants and flowers. The sets are designed to provide a creative and relaxing building experience while serving as stylish, long-lasting home décor. Each set is crafted with sustainability in mind, using plant-based plastic made from sugarcane for certain elements. Notable attendees included influencers Anna Maria Damm and model Stefanie Giesinger, whose vibrant ensembles captivated the audience. Actor Helge Mark also made a memorable appearance on the runway, embodying the joyful spirit of the collaboration. An oversized LEGO bow above the runway served as a decorative centerpiece, epitomizing the synergy between textiles and LEGO elements. Marina Hoermanseder's Notable Collaborations Marina Hoermanseder is renowned for her innovative collaborations that blend her distinctive design aesthetic with various brands. Recently, she partnered with Vuse to premiere an origami-inspired look at Berlin Fashion Week 2025. In 2019, she partnered with BWT (Best Water Technology) as their official water partner during Berlin Fashion Week. She also joined forces with Swiss watch brand Rado to reimagine the iconic Captain Cook model, seamlessly blending tradition, premium materials, and her signature design elements. Since summer 2019, she has collaborated with Palmers, incorporating her signature buckles into their underwear, swimwear, and homewear collections.
