By and for Showgirls: The New Silvia Schneider x HUMANIC Collection is Designed for Those Who Love the Spotlight
A Glamorous Setting for a Star-Studded Event
Two days ago, the Ovalhalle at Vienna's MuseumsQuartier set the stage for the presentation of the new Silvia Schneider x HUMANIC collection. Known as a central location during Vienna Fashion Week, where a large tent is erected outside for international and Austrian designers' runway shows, the Ovalhalle serves as an indoor showcase space. On April 2nd, it was used as a space for the presentation of the new collection by Austria's leading shoe brand.
Fashion.at was among the guests waiting at the entrance alongside TV personalities, designers, and stylists. The delay at the entry was due to an elaborate check-in process—each guest received a bracelet matching the zodiac sign featuring a metallic emblem in gold or silver, attached to a band representing one of the four elements. These bracelets were the first introduction to the collection's theme: "The Power of Elements."
A First Glimpse: Fashion Meets Astrology
Once inside, guests were welcomed with beverages and finger food in a reception area. Society photographers called VIPs in front of the brand's logo wall, capturing the glamorous arrivals. The main hall, where the shoe collection was already on display, featured columns presenting selected designs with information on which zodiac sign they matched—an aspect curated in collaboration with Austria's well-known astrologer Gerda Rogers.
The elemental concept was reflected in the collection: fiery tones for signs like Leo, practical yet stylish designs for earth signs like Virgo, light and airy details for air signs, and fluid, shimmering elements for water signs. The variety in the collection aimed to provide a personal touch for every wearer, aligning fashion with astrological identity.
An Exclusive Crowd and Engaging Conversations
The event attracted a carefully curated guest list. Not overly crowded, the setting allowed room for discussions and networking. Fashion professionals and stylists exchanged ideas, while guests from TV, film, and theater mingled, sharing their impressions of the collection.
A Theatrical Start to the Show
The presentation itself began with an image film starring Silvia Schneider—known not only as a designer but also as a jurist, actress, and TV host. This cinematic introduction set the tone for the event: glamorous, theatrical, and designed for impact. The shoe collection was unveiled alongside Silvia Schneider's latest fashion pieces, developed with couturier Liliya Semenova.
From the very first impression, it was clear: this collection was made for the spotlight. Some pieces sparkled with such intensity, as if competing with the sun in brilliance. The shoes, while featuring elaborate details such as fringes, bows, and crystals, were relatively restrained in comparison to the dazzling dresses. However, both elements of the collection shared a common trait—designed for those who want to be seen.
A Performance to Match the Extravagance
The show itself was set against the backdrop of a large sphere, symbolizing a planet. A highlight of the evening was a dramatic performance by a female acrobat wearing snake-skin boot sandals from the new collection. Her act, bending her body with snake-like fluidity, added an artistic flair to the event, reinforcing the collection's theme of astrological mystique.
Throughout the show, the audience expressed its admiration through enthusiastic applause, particularly for evening gowns featuring creative cuts and striking embellishments. The crowd clearly had its favorites, and the excitement was palpable.
A Collection for the Bold and the Glamorous
The Silvia Schneider x HUMANIC collection is, without a doubt, created for those who embrace fashion as a statement. These are pieces designed for grand entrances, for those who enjoy the spotlight. It is a collection by a showgirl for showgirls—offering bold styles for those unafraid to make an impression.
