What to Expect at Paris Fashion Week Menswear Fall/Winter 2025/26

Paris Fashion Week kicks off today, bringing a week of exciting menswear collections for the Fall/Winter 2025/26 season. Running from January 21 to 26, 2025, the event features 37 runway shows and 30 presentations from some of the most influential fashion houses. Dates and times are taken from the official Paris Fashion Week calendar.

Louis Vuitton - Show on January 21 at 19:30
One of the most anticipated shows this season is Louis Vuitton, set to stream live today, January 21, at 19:30. Designed by Pharrell Williams, who has led the brand's menswear since 2023, this collection promises bold creativity and fresh perspectives. In previous seasons, Williams has blended modern cowboy aesthetics with workwear influences, all while staying true to Louis Vuitton's heritage.

Adding to the excitement, the brand announced that Pharrell Williams will be joined by Nigo at the Cour Carrée du Louvre in Paris. Nigo—born Tomoaki Nagao—is a celebrated Japanese designer, music producer, and entrepreneur. Best known for founding A Bathing Ape (BAPE) in 1993, he has been a driving force in streetwear for decades. His collaboration with Williams dates back to 2003, when they launched Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream footwear. Nigo's influence in luxury fashion has continued to grow, with past collaborations at Louis Vuitton and his current role as the artistic director of Kenzo.

Rick Owens - Show on January 23 at 12:30
Another highlight on Fashion.at's radar is Rick Owens' Fall/Winter 2025-26 menswear show, taking place on January 23 at 12:30. It can be expected that Rick Owens will continue his known style of minimalist aesthetics and avant-garde designs, pushing the boundaries of fashion with innovative silhouettes and materials.

In a recent social media post on Instagram, Rick Owens highlighted the unique qualities of loden, a traditional winter material from the Alps, and explored its deep-rooted history. Originally used for work clothing, loden fabric is celebrated for its durability and functionality in harsh mountainous conditions. Made from 100% natural wool, it undergoes an extensive forty-step process to achieve its final form. Over time, loden textiles have evolved into high-performance garments favored by mountaineers and outdoor enthusiasts. Owens also delved into the heritage of Loden Steiner respectively Steiner 1888, a fifth-generation, family-owned mill located at the foot of the Dachstein Mountains in Austria. The post detailed how the "Lodenwalke" mill, founded in 1888, was initially created to produce durable wool textiles suited for extreme climates. Franz Steiner, one of its early developers, famously wore loden trousers from his own production while scaling the south face of the Dachstein. Today, Loden Steiner remains committed to high-quality wool craftsmanship, processing its textiles with purified glacier water from the Dachstein Glacier. The mill's loden fabrics, including the signature Lodenette quality, offer both a soft brushed handfeel and a compact heavyweight option with a dry, coarse texture. Furthermore, all wool used in Lodensteiner's production is mulesing-free, ensuring ethical sourcing. Rick Owens' partnership with Loden Steiner underscores his dedication to merging heritage craftsmanship with contemporary fashion. This collaboration, as emphasized in his social media post, showcases how Owens not only incorporates high-quality, time-honored materials into his avant-garde aesthetic but also dives deep into their cultural and historical significance.
