Insights into the making of dishes and the aerodynamic design of cutlery at the new 'Food Channel' by Emirates

Recently, Emirates launched the airline's 'Food Channel' for the inflight on-demand entertainment system ice where passengers can select from a programme reaching from movies over music to language learning videos. The first two episodes of the Food Channel are already published additionally via YouTube. The 1st episode (embedded below) introduces into the concept of the airline with editorial features like the making of favorite signature dishes such as the 'Coconut Braised Beef Short Rib' (starts at ca. minute 3:50) or the 'Arabic Lentil Soup' (from minute 18:40). The Food Channel episodes include documentaries about the origins of the ingredients such as insights into the production of olive oil at Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio located in Umbria, Italy (from minute 13:00).

From minute 21:55, Emirates looks behind the scenes of the design of the collection of cutlery exclusively developed by British design company Robert Welch for the airline.

It's announced that new episodes will be released next year.
