The upcoming festival is an event for beer gourmets! With around 430 different beers and ciders from 19 countries, 87 breweries and cider producers, only the ones who drink moderate can enjoy the taste of the alcoholic beverages at the Craft Bier Fest which happens on 11 and 12 May at Marx Halle in Vienna. Guest country Ireland is represented by four producers - Carlow Brewing Company, McGargles, Blacks Of Kinsale, and Porterhouse, who introduce into Ireland's beer tradition inclusively the new fashion to let beer mature in pre-loaded whiskey barrels and vice versa.

On occasion of the festival, the collaborative 'Gallink' by Jameson Irish Whiskey and the Austrian brewery Bevog (Gallink is beer matured in Jameson barrels) will be presented for the first time to the public.

Another focus of the festival is the Austrian brewery scene with innovative brands such as the Viennese breweries 'Ten.Fifty' (Favoriten, 10th district of Vienna) or Braumanufaktur Schalken (Ottakring, 18th district).
