Vienna gastronomy tip: New beach club, restaurant, bar 'Blumenwiese' opens on 30 April at Danube Canal

Yesterday, Fashion.at came along the new beach club Blumenwiese which has received through April several mentions by Austrian media where the location vis-à-vis of the Twin City Liner landing stage between the bridges Marienbrücke and Schwedenbrücke was introduced as new hot spot at the Danube Canal in Vienna. The owners of Blumenwiese are well-known for managing successfully restaurants and clubs. Officially, the beach club isn't open yet, the picture below shows parts of the with flower chairs furnished lounge area where people worked at the construction site separated by fences from the promenade. Other parts were already open on that day; but guests took their seats even behind the fences inside the restaurant. Such as Blumenwiese let know via Facebook, the unofficial pre-opening was caused by the interest of the crowd. The Facebook post shows images of the whole area reaching from a relax zone with beach chairs, over restaurant, bar to the comfortable lounge. Official opening of Blumenwiese happens tomorrow on 30 April, start 17.00. Opening party follows in mid-May.
