Trend in corona-times: Bringing travel experiences to home
Cooking after recipes from favorite holiday destinations can't replace traveling to foreign places but it brings the feeling of holiday to home. Traveling will become possible sooner or later when it's less risky. No other activity depends so much on worldwide efforts in being successful to end the pandemic and to practice a behaviour that protects each other from being infected. Not to travel to a nice holiday destination is a mess, but what hurts additionally is the consciousness that borders are closed and the personal freedom restricted.
According to a study conducted by the Austrian market researcher Marketagent.com and commissioned by the Dubai headquartered airline Emirates about perfect holidays, culinary is for around 40% of the Austrian families an essential part of traveling.
On occasion of the traveling restrictions, Emirates sent some recipes like the one for the Arabic lentil soup. The list of ingredients and preparation guide are published together with a video at emirates.com (English / Deutsch) where Said El Alam, chef at Emirates Flight Catering
shows and explains how to make it.
