Austrian wedding planner Nicole Friedrich about trends 2023: Free Marriage, Green Weddings, Off-Season Weddings,...

Wedding planner Nicole Friedrich combines for her event organization company 'Personal Weddings' the training in business administration and project management with her taste for trends. Recently, the Austrian wedding specialist and her team provided an outlook on the trends in 2023 reaching from large to smaller events, traditional ceremonies to new ways of approaching this important day for a couple. According to Nicole Friedrich, sustainability has become an integral part of her work and is not only central at 'Green Weddings', but also part of the planning of the trending 'Off-Season Weddings' or the 'Free Marriage'.

The traditional 'Long Weekend' in the mountains or in a villa in Tuscany for a large guest crowd has also become trendy for weddings in small circles.

'Free marriage' where friends or family members can marry the bridal couple is another trend for a more personal ceremony.

'Green Weddings' are focused on seasonal dishes, second-hand or borrowed wedding decorations, vintage wedding rings and homemade items. The event happens in the forest, by a lake, in the mountains or in the own garden.

'Off-Season Weddings' is according to Nicole Friedrich a strong trend in 2023. THe planner explains the trend with examples such as a big celebration in April high in the mountains, or a chic winter wedding in a European capital on a Thursday. The advantage of the trend is that the location or additional services are more easily available with less lead time.
