Coffee recipe from Vienna: Caramel Cookie Latte from Viennese coffee brand Julius Meinl
Today is the first Sunday of Advent, marking the beginning of a season in which creating a cozy and welcoming home takes center stage, with food and drink adding to the sense of comfort.
To celebrate the start of Advent, Austrian coffee brand Julius Meinl, established in 1862, has unveiled a festive recipe to infuse homes with warmth and joy. Their 'Caramel Cookie Latte' combines caramel and cinnamon with the brand's 'Bio Melange', a medium-dark roast known for its chocolatey notes, subtle brown spices, and rich aroma. Its full-bodied flavor and lingering roasted peanut finish make it a perfect choice for both traditional and inventive coffee creations.
Preparation:
1. Crush 5 cookies, 2 pumps of caramel syrup and a pinch of cinnamon in a glass.
2. Froth milk and pour over cookie mixture. Stir gently.
3. Prepare a double espresso (e.g. Julius Meinl 'Bio Melange') and slowly pour it into the mixture.
4. Top with whipped cream and cookie crumbles.
