Thomas Cronenberg is born 1962 in the USA. He now lives in Hamburg, Germany. He studied at the West Dean College in Großbritannien tapestries.

The weaving of pictures, tapestry, has tradition: 1500 years before the coptic textiles (Egypt), the tapestries of the middle ages (around 500 years old), or the fine products of the 300 years old Parisian manufacturers Gobelin.
