Fashion film Fashion film director James Franco is known for roles in movies like Spider-Man where he played 'Harry Osborn'. He received several awards like the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor and nominations such as for the Oscar (Academy Awards) and MTV Movie Awards. Alongside acting, he writes, photographs and directs films. For the campaign FW2012, James Franco combines his impressions of old and new Hollywood icons (especially Franco's muse, Hollywood silent film pioneer Rudolph Valentino) and their influence on California lifestyle. "The big thing I am trying to access is memory and how we deal with memory, what that means, how we remember people and who creates the lasting images of people. We all have our connections to people who we admire and it's my own way of examining my own connections." says James Franco. In the upcoming fashion film, a group of people - dressed in 7 For All Mankind high-shine metallics, printed snake skins and leather-like denim, explores Rudolph Valentino's late life. The exploration leads the group consisting of actors, models like Lou Doillon (image below, left), Henry Hopper (son of legendary actor Dennis Hopper), Lily Donaldson, Cody Horn, etc to locations such as The Hollywood Forever Cemetery. fig. left: Fashion-icon Lou Doillon (daughter of Jane Birkin), 7 For All Mankind FW2012 campaign photographed by James Franco. fig. right: James Franco at the 7 For All Mankind press conference on 4 July during Bread & Butter 2012 in Berlin.
