Call for photographers of fashion, beauty, nature, sport, art...

Today on 1 June 2012, the 'Sony World Photography Awards 2013' opened the competition for professionals and amateur photographers in categories like fashion and beauty, lifestyle, people, art and culture, sport, or categories like 'Split Second' which is about capturing an ultimate high-speed moment such as the 'Dancing Queen' (image below) is an action-shot of a waterdrop collision.

The closing dates vary; 4 January 2013 for amateurs, 9 January for professionals, and the 'Student Focus Award' with special theme 'Celebration' (references the Olympic Summer Games in London) closes on 30 November 2012.
