View on football from sports fashion angle Adidas has a long tradition in delivering the balls to the FIFA events. Since 1970, adidas contributes the official ball to all FIFA World Cup matches. They carry names like 'Tango' for the World Cup in Argentina, 'Azteca' for the plays in Mexico, or 'Tricolore' for the matches in France. After the Confederations Cup 2013, the World Cup will be held in Brazil in 2014; the name of next year's ball is 'Brazuca' - it's the first ball name that was selected by football fans themselves by voting for it. The name is an informal term used in Brazil and refers Brazilian lifestyle, zest for life and the country's approach to football. fig.: View on feet of kids (in front) and players of the Japanese team; both in adidas outfits.
