Title of the Biennale di Venezia 2015 'All the World's Futures'

...presented by curator Okwui Enwezor and Biennale president Paolo Baratta on 22 October 2014 in Venice.

Okwui Enwezor said in an interview (video) about the role of a curator in the 21st century that he "..always had ... a change agenda'. The title of 56th Biennale Arte di Venezia 2015 'All the World's Futures' focuses on the revealing of the invisible structures that are causing the status quo (with and without changes) of today's society. Therefore, Okwui Enwezor has constructed three 'filters' to channel the approaches to the theme; the most interesting seems to be the 'Garden of Disorder' where artists will present new works which reflect challenges of our days like environmental changes or territorial conflicts. The Garden of Disorder will be installed at the main venues of the Biennale like the Giardini (transl. 'gardens'). The other two filters concern Karl Marx's socio-critical philosophical work 'Capital: Critique of Political Economy' from 1867 and the fact that the current status of global society is only a short extract of a never ending story.
