Vivienne Westwood's charity carpet arrives in Vienna

On 2 November 2014, Vivienne Westwood and The Rug Company's collaborative carpet for the support of the Blue Heart campaign against human trafficking will be auctioned in Vienna. It's announced that the money earned through the handmade textile (produced in Nepal) will be donated to the United Nations Voluntary Trust Fund. The Viennese orient carpet dealer Ali Rahimi is quasi the 'flight commander' of the charity auction which happens on 2 November 2014 at his store Rahimi & Rahimi. The color red on the carpet visualizes the geographical zones which will become uninhabitable land when earth warming reaches plus 5° Celsius. The carpet is signed by Vivienne Westwood and her husband/design-partner Andreas Kronthaler.
