Insights into the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony by the athletes' phone sponsor Samsung

Samsung, the official Olympic Games phone sponsor, sent some images of yesterday's Opening Ceremony in Rio. 11,436 athletes (fast checked today on Rio2106.com; numbers are changing) participate in the Olympic Games 2016 in Rio and all of them have received a phone and Gear IconX cord-free earbuds accessories by Samsung. Especially for the games, the wireless communications technology brand designed the 'Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition' with Olympic Rings pattern outside and a pre-installed app which enables the athletes to show their national flags on the screen. Not all 205 countries will take part in all 306 events of the 42 disciplines; a good overview over the events, trending athletes or what happens currently can be found on Google.com by searching for 'Olympic Games Rio 2016'.

Since 1988, Samsung collaborates with the Olympic Games; it's announced that the sport event sponsoring will be continued in PyeongChang 2018 and Tokyo 2020.
