18 August 2018 'Platzhirsch Dirndlerei' owner Bettina Grieshofer (image above) received already awards for her design of trachten (traditional clothing of alpine regions) and her success as entrepreneur. Now, Bettina Grieshofer presents new activities of Platzhirsch Dirndlerei: interior in designs derived from the typical style of the designer's home base Bad-Aussee, Salzkammergut in Styria. The label's name Platzhirsch (word combination of place and deer) means translated in hunter language alpha male; in everyday language, the word 'Platzhirsch' is used for a male or female who has influence on a community. A Platzhirsch is a sort of influencer! The Christmas urban chalet at the rooftop of The Ritz-Carlton Vienna was furnished with the trachten label's cushions, curtains and lampshades (below, first image from left); for the new, in December 2017 opened 'Anna Plochl' Café & Torten (cake) boutique in Bad Aussee (picture in the middle), Platzhirsch provided the cushions for the benches and the aprons for the staff; and the cover of the upholstering of the benches, the cushions and curtains of the restaurant at Kohlröserlhütte located at Salzkammergut (image right) are made of the traditional Austrian wool fabric Schladminger-Loden. The cushions show signature Platzhirsch (deer) prints. Today, Bettina Grieshofer posted the announcement that Platzhirsch Dirndlerei trachten are available from 17 September until 20 October at the label's pop-up store at the couture salon JCH - Juergen Christian Hoerl nearby Vienna State Opera. The dirndl dresses can be customized by the salon's tailors. fig. above: Bettina Grieshofer wears items (skirt with print, black cardigan) of the 'Platzhirsch Dirndlerei' collection.
