18 June 2018 Football World Cup public viewing locations in Vienna are listed at several websites such as at viennawurstelstand.com, wien.info - both with descriptions of the locations, or wien.gv.at (city map). At all three lists, the two destinations presented here on this page are selected: Pratersauna and Strandbar Hermann. Pratersauna (image below left, opening hours) is a relaxed place with dance music and lounges at the swimming pool surrounded by the forest of the Viennese Prater. It's easy to get there with public transportation services, bicycle or car. Strandbar Hermann is one of the largest public viewing locations in Vienna (opening hours) and a great place for the whole family nearby the Inner City of Vienna. The beach bar at the observatory Urania (at the image right) offers several areas for watching the matches of the FIFA World Cup Russia (until 17 July). |
