Wind energy activities in Austria and call for submissions to national and international photo competitions

On occasion of this year's 'Global Wind Day' (15 June), the deadline for submissions to the international 'Wind Vision' photo competition is 20th May. Austrian photographers have time until 31 August to send their impressions under the motto 'Catch the wind in a picture' ('Fang den Wind in einem Bild') to the national photo competition and get the chance to win one of 3 KTM ebikes.

Additionally to the competition, the Austrians organise several events around the theme; one is the Wind Power Photo Workshop (Windkraft-Foto-Workshop) on 15 June at the wind park in Bruck an der Leitha which belongs to the country's regions with the highest percentage of green energy.

It's announced that the workshop tour will lead to a wind wheel viewing platform before the practical part on earth is starting. Participants can submit images captured under the guidance of photographer Karl Grabherr to the photo exhibition under the motto 'Catch the wind in a picture'.
