Austrian artist Leon Einberger and designer, Misc.Fashion store owner Michaela Schirlbauer collaborated for latest 'Salzburg Rock'

This month, Michaela Schirlbauer presented the latest 'Salzburg Rock' (Salzburg skirt) as homage to the city of Salzburg. Schirlbauer is designer and owner of the Misc.Fashion store (founded 2010) at Mozartplatz in the center of the city. For the creation, she collaborated with her neighbor Austrian artist Leon Einberger whose gallery is nearby at Mozartplatz. Leon Einberger's aquarelle shows prominently the Salzburger Dom, internationally known from the Salzburger Festspiele and just around the corner of Mozartplatz. The skirt with artwork by Leon Einberger is the second edition of Michaela Schirlbauer's 'Salzburg Rock'-series; the first was created in 2016 and depicted a panorama photo by Salzburg-based Taro Ebihara. For both skirt editions, Schirlbauer worked together with Jordis Stoffdrucke, specialized in hand-prints reflecting the region's culture and classical style.

The first 'Salzburg Rock' from 2016 is currently displayed at the Traklhaus (Salzburg) exhibition 'Schwerpunkt Design II' (until 11 May) together with items by artists and design studios like Eva Petric, Esther Stocker, Studio F.A. Porsche, or Vivienne Westwood.
