Photo credits: Video: The former soloist of the New York City Ballet Judith Fugate speaks about her rehearsal works with the State Ballet in Vienna and choreographer George Balanchine's 'Jewels' with music by Fauré, Strawinski und Tschaikowski. The choreography from 1967 is structured in three geographical stations of Balanchine's life - emeralds reference France, rubies the USA and diamonds Russia. Yesterday was this year's last performance of 'Jewels'. The next dates are 27th and 29th January 2020.
