'Sturm privat' provides tailored and customized festive men's wear (white & black tie) for Viennese balls

The Vienna ball season is in full swing (calendar) and each year the dress code and how to fulfill or interpret it is a theme for women - and men. Some of the upcoming events request more or less elegant men's wear. The Vienna Philharmonic Ball as well as the Vienna Opera Ball for example request for men the very formal white tie (tailcoat), the Vienna Coffee House Owners' Ball white tie or the less formal black tie (tuxedo), the Vienna Ball of Sciences can be visited from tailcoat over tuxedo to dark lounge suit, and at the very popular Hunters' Ball or Jägerball neither tailcoat nor tuxedo are obligatory; men are dressed in traditional Austrian tracht.

One of the specialized destinations for tailored and customized white tie and black tie outfits is 'Sturm privat' at the 1st district of Vienna where men get professional advice for the matching style of the tailcoat or tuxedo (in German language called 'smoking'). Franziska and Martin Sturm established 'Sturm privat' as extension to their men's wear outfitter store 'Sturm at Parkring' as - such as the name suggests, more private tailor-salon (pictures below) where customers are guided to the personal styling of the white tie (tailcoat) or black tie (tuxedo) outfit with the essential accessories which aren't easily to find in average stores.

According to Sturm privat, black is still the most used color at Viennese balls. Night blue is the elegant alternative. Both are combined with white shirt, bow ties (white for the tailcoat, black for the tuxedo), suspenders (pants are worn without belts), black socks, white silk handkerchief, studs,...
