Art in the Alps at 2000m: Gurgl Carat presents the optimistic, vibrant paintings of Leon Löwentraut in the exhibition 'Bright Diamonds'

German artist Leon Löwentraut's works appear sun-drenched and full of optimism. Like action paintings by someone who loves to play with colors on the canvas, a person who enjoys life with all his senses, constantly discovering new pleasures. These life-affirming works will be on display throughout the winter season in some of the best winter sports resorts in the Alps: from December 7 to February 1 at Galerie Gerald Hartinger in Kitzbühel, Tyrol; from December 23 to January 22 at Gurgl Carat in Gurgl, Sölden in Tyrol; and from December 27 to the end of March at Galerie10 in St. Moritz, Switzerland, as recently posted by the artist on his Intagram @leonloewentraut.

The Gurgl Carat, an event and conference center at an altitude of 2,000 meters, was built in the shape of a diamond by Ötztal Tourism Gurgl, the University of Innsbruck and the municipality of Sölden. It was officially opened in 2022. Now it showcases Leon Löwentraut's paintings under the title 'Bright Diamonds' and caches with the title the radiance of the energy loaded, paintings as well as the gem-cut-like architecture of the Gurgl Carat. The exhibition titled 'Bright Diamonds' will open on December 23 at 6 p.m. with free admission, followed by an exclusive Meet the Artist dinner. Gurgl Carat posted a video featuring an interview with Leon Löwentraut on its Instagram @gurgl.carat.
