Jack Printed cotton shirt
Union Jack printed cotton shirt, bought from I was Lord Kitchener’s
Valet, 1966-7. Photographed with Levi jeans, 1971-6. The owner of this
shirt later recalled that it was ‘hard to remember what one
wore… At a guess I’d say –flared jeans! The flares
would, of course, be triangles of contrasting material sewn into the
seam by me.’ Photograph ©Museum of London
The
exhibition shows 200 pieces by more than 70 designers from the past 200 years.
