Update of Cytara's Space, outfit, hair and makeup in the Spatial Metaverse
Fashion.at's fictional character 'Cytara' appeared for the first time in the 90's as virtual fashion model Cybra. Over the years, not only the character's name was changed from Cybra to Cytara, the fictional character became the name-giver of one of the channels of Fashion.at. In contrast to the journalistic content on Fashion.at about news concerning fashion and culture with focus on Austria, Cytara.com is the channel for fictional stories.
In summer 2022, the character Cytara has taken shape again. This time, the figure appeared on Spatial.io. Cytara's first space was set up in the environment of a gallery to present the logos of the various communication channels like the Fashion Feeds, the Trendletter by Fashion.at or the fashion.at/music Playlist on Spotify (article).
Now in early December, Cytara's Space in the Spatial Metaverse was updated with a new environment - a floating auditorium at dizzy heights in a mountain landscape. The Outfit of Cytara was again created with Ready Player Me which presented recently on occasion of Art Basel Miami a show with digital fashion and the company's avatars (posting with video on Instagram). Ready Player Me is one of the cooperation partners of Spatial.io.
In mid-November, the avatar platform launched new hair and makeup styles together with L'Oréal Professional Paris and Maybelline New York. Cytara's hair and makeup are taken from these new styles. The character wears currently an XMas sweater with gingerbread appeal and has used the new style already for a tour through the trending and popular spaces such as the 'Miami Art Basel' space by digital creator Altered Alley where users can teleport to spaces such as the 'Anarchy Cake Studio', a skateboard park built from several large pools with street art murals and in between cakes that unite graffiti and comics with a shot spooky humor.
Altered Alley provides on Twitter insights into his activities such as showing augmented reality art at Art Basel Miami.
Since summer 2022, Spatial.io has turned more and more into a fashionable place-to-be. In mid-October, the 'Club Vogue Singapore' by Vogue Singapore opened at the Metaverse with the presentation of digital wearables by Chinese designer Yimeng Yu, The Fabricant and DressX. The wearables were exclusively created for Vogue and are powered by Ready Player Me. Additionally, works by the photographers Ellen von Unwerth, Nick Knight, Liz Collins, and Chen Man are exhibited with link to the NFT marketplace Brytehall. At one of the lounge spaces of the club, print editions of the magazine are displayed in a book shelf with link to the online shop for ordering past and present issues.
On the tour, Cytara navigated through spaces such as the one of Runway Magazine about next year's fashion collections by international labels or the 'Christmas Season' space with music by Chris Rea singing 'Driving Home for Christmas'. The Christmas space designed by the Swiss metaverse and digital agency Kuble makes the wide Metaverse a homey place.
