London based Nana Aganovich's work is politically and sexually motivated. In her 2007 collection she explores the costs and consequences of female sexuality. Aganovich creates a Blade Runner-ish London scenery where a fragile woman struggles against the phallic cityscape and threatening criminal streets to secure herself a place in this dark world. Nana Aganovich, born in Belgrade, migrated with her parents to Copenhagen when she was 8 years old. With 15 she worked in a strip-club in Istanbul. This was as she entitles a "crash course in female sexuality". In the next two years she traveled through Europe and took part in demonstrations and protests throughout the continent and developing an increasingly refined and complex graffiti style.
