HOMO VOLANS (FLYING MAN)

Friday March 24, 2006 at the Design Exchange in Toronto, the show begins: interacting movie clips on two screens, trance music: “Embrace me”. Destruction, helplessness and extreme despair seen in their faces. Orphaned children and child soldiers in particular are seen, mostly civilians. Soon the sky is filled with parachutes and a victory parade is to follow. Andrew Majtenyi features 26 outfits on the parachuting theme for highly styled skydivers. next>>>

Andrew Majtenyi was born in St. Catharines, Ontario. He studied at Niagara College, London Central School of Fashion, Sheridan College and George Brown College, all of which specialize in various aspects of Fashion Design, Colour Theory and Image Management.
