Highlight of the fair is the Young Designers Room (established 2002 by the Thai Department of Export Promotion’s Office of Product Development for Export - OPDE), where the next generation of designers from Thailand showcase their creativity and imagination in both fashionable garments, leather goods and accessories to international fashion buyers.

‘Be Shoe Be Bag’, the luxury label by designer Udomsak Kraikarn will present this year for the 3rd time at BIFF&BIL’s Young Designers Room: “My design concept is very simple. My bags and shoes are designed with the urban lifestyle in mind - they must be functional. Nowadays people living and working in major cities are more concerned about a healthier lifestyle and to look good so a bag must be able to carry not only ‘work’ but also their ‘workout’ gear so they can go straight to the gym and not have to fight the traffic to go back home to change. Therefore, you will see that my bags are bigger than normal,” explained Udomsak, who sells his products at the trendy Playground store in the heart of Bangkok.
