Sixteen men carried the collection over the pass through snow for the presentation at the Melbourne Fashion Week. “There is only one road to the village where we work and this is closed due to snow-cover for four months of the year. There are daily flights to the village but when the plane can’t see over the mountains, they can’t fly. So I had waited fourteen days for the plane to come, and then I had to walk."

Kirsten graduated from UTS with a Masters in Communications. She has worked as a journalist and copywriter for various magazines and agencies including Juice, the ABC, Seven and Y&R. Working in India, Israel, London and Peshawar, she has recently finished working with the UN for the Iraq elections.
