MANGO FASHION AWARDS 2007
in cooperation with: Central Saint Martins School of
Art and Design, London; Escola Superior de Disseny, ESDi, Barcelona, Institut Français de la Mode, Paris; Istituto Marangoni, Milan-Paris-London and Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten van Antwerpen (The Royal Academy of Fine Arts), Antwerp.

Designers worldwide (not older than 35 years and they must have experience in selling or presenting their collection, or parts of the collection, commercially) are invited to the Mango International Fashion Awards. In sum the awards are equipped with 300,000 Euros. Ten finalists, selected by the jury out of 50 short listed candidates will have access to a new media platform as well as the opportunity to commercialise their collection. Each of the 10 finalists will receive a sum of 18,000 Euros to create their collection (10 outfits of women’s wear for Spring/Summer’08) in a period of four months.

Contest Calendar
15th Nov 2006: Media presentation of the “MANGO Fashion Awards”
30th Nov 2006 – 2nd February 2007: Period to apply for the contest
1st Mar 2007: Selection of the final 50 candidates by the MANGO Committee
12th Apr 2007: Presentation of the final 50 projects before the jury
3rd May 2007: Selection of the 10 finalists
6th Sept 2007 (to be confirmed): Awards Ceremony and presentation of the shortlisted collections more design>>>
