The Australian designer Marnie Skillings is inspired by her homeland. Marnie transforms her inspiration of the Australian nature into lace, brocades, jacquards. Contrasts between dark and light and matt and lustre are reminiscent of the richness of the native natural landscape. next>>>

Marnie Skillings, born in Australia, spent her youth in the country at Riley’s Hill in Northern New South Wales Wales. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Southern Cross University, Lismore. 1999 she graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design at the Sydney Institute of Technology (East Sydney). Marnie ventured to Japan, returning 3 months later to set up her label and launch herself onto the Australian fashion scene.
