‘Narcissus’
Narcissus, the man who was adorned by women and men, but who loves only himself by looking in the mirror, inspired Maikel Bongaerts to work with the theme reflections. The designer uses basic items and reflects them and turns them into other garments. next >>>

Maikel Bongaerts, born in 1982, studied fine arts and fashion design in Maastricht. During his study he did an internship at Orson+Bodil for Alexander van Slobbe and also worked at WOLF-homme for Francisco van Benthum. With his Maastricht-graduation collection he was a finalist at the Mittelmoda Award in Italy in 2005.
