The exhibited designs by this year’s graduates are characterized by
unprecedented refinement and a fascinating aura of mystery. The students express by transforming language, challenging the senses, and experiencing space and light their view on the beauty of concealing, the pleasure of tidying, the delight of touching, and the

60th anniversary
Design Academy Eindhoven was founded in 1947 as the Academy for Industrial Design. The
design school trains students in product design, communications design, ambient
design, interior design, automotive design, and the design of new media applications. The Design House in Eindhoven will be opened in December 2007 where the Academy will succeed celebrating its sixtieth anniversary. The platform where design, art, and technology interact and intermingle in inspirational ways is initiated by Li Edelkoort, chairperson of the Executive Board of Design Academy Eindhoven, and realized in cooperation with the Municipality Eindhoven, Design Academy Eindhoven, Ontwerpersgroep Yksi, Van Abbemuseum, Design Connection Eindhoven/region, and Brainport Foundation. The Design House is located next to the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven.
