assembly05 – design festival

Festival by around 50 designers from Styria (Austria) and South-Eastern Europe

On eight days from May to 6th June 2008 you can find around 50 selected designers from Styria (state of Austria) and South-Eastern Europe in Styria's capital city Graz presenting their works in temporary shops. The assembly05 festival is accompanied by fashion shows, exhibitions, workshops, installations, performances, concerts, and parties!

assembly05 is happening for the 5th time and becomes an important festival for designers in the region Styria and South-Eastern Europe. In the last five years participants and visitors growth continuously because of the interesting contents that were offered to the audience. assembly will be one of the leit-projects for the title ‚city of design’, which will be awarded by UNESCO.

The Austrian design label ap from Graz, Styria (www.ap-fashion.com) uses clothing to make a statement.

In 2003 the label "mrak" was founded by Leijla Hodzic in Sarajevo (Bosnia-Herzegovina). Before, Leijla has worked for costume designer Jasmila Zbanic.
