A&V
fall/winter 2008/9
In April 2008 the 1st A&V men’s collection premiered at a show in Vilnius, the capital city of Lithuania.
Vilnius, Lithuania, based designers Alex Pogrebnojus + Vida Simanaviciute (born
1968 and 1961) have developed in their A&V fall/winter collection the expression of an open-minded, multifaceted man by using various materials in a perfect, sometimes thrilling combination.

Along with wool and fine structured silk you will find illustrations on t-shirts by Rimantas Rolia (born 1970) who illustrated numerous books published by Lithuanian and foreign publishing houses and created as graphic designer numerous trademarks, brand styles and logotypes for large companies and public institutions. The drawings for A&V t-shirts are from
a children's book, which will be released by publishing house Kronta www.kronta.lt at the end of 2008.

About A&V
In 1993 Alex Pogrebnojus and Vida Simanaviciute founded A&V in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. The label presents two seasonal women's wear collections every year; since April 2008 men's wear. Alongside they also design clothes for individual customers and costumes for theatre performances.
The designers
Designer Alex Pogrebnojus (born1968) studied theatre directing at the Vilnius Conservatoire in 1989-
1992.
Designer Vida Simanaviciute (born 1961) studied design at Kaunas Art School in 1984-1988.
Rimantas Rolia
Rimantas Rolia (born on 26 April 1970, Ignalina) is educated from
1986–1990 at the Kaunas Art College,
1991–1997 Department of Graphics of Vilnius Art Academy,
1993 Salzburg Summer Academy of Fine Arts, Austria.
Rolia's work is exhibited worldwide such as 2006 in the Kyoto Municipal Art Museum, 1996 “Figures Futur”, Paris, 1996 at “Itabashi” Art Museum, Tokyo, 1993 in Hohensalzburg castle, Salzburg,...
