In February 2008 17 years old Scarlett Lanson from Sedona, Arizona was awarded in the Swarovski Crystal “CREATE your STYLE” Design Contest 2007 at the Omni Tucson National Golf Resort.

Swarovski Crystal Design Contest 2008

In 2008 bead-weaver Scarlett Lanson submitted a work for the contest's theme “Be Naturally Inspired” that will bring Rio’s Carnival or Cirque du Soleil to your mind. It took her ten days for completing her colorful submission.

Scarlett emerged a carefully engineered masterpiece. This year Lanson went in an entirely different direction with the newest entry. “Brilliance is Born” is a statement in subtle shades of Copper, Bronze, and Cream Rose Light (necklace above), but the new opus is a stunning riot of color.

Deadline for the Swarovski Crystal Design Contest 2008 “Be Naturally Inspired” was the 16th May 2008. On 15 October 2008 the winners will be announced in New York. www.create-your-style.com

The art to bead by Scarlett Lanson

Scarlett Lanson does all manner of techniques, such as bead-weaving, lost-wax casting, precious metal clay, stringing, mosaics, and more. She uses fine stones, beads, and materials from around the world for her one-of-a-kind pieces.

Lanson’s creations are sold as period style pieces (first three decades of the twentieth century) for Marchesa’a Fine Shoe Salon, in Sedona, AZ, or at the Mii Amo Spa Shop at the Enchantment Resort, Sedona, AZ.

Often pieces come with a custom Romance Card, as the artist feels each has a special story about their inspiration, or the meaning of the stones.
