140 International Designers present New Ideas

In its fifth year in Vienna, Blickfang presents around 140 international designers from the fields furniture, light, fashion and jewellery on three days in October 2008 at the Austrian Museum of Applied Arts/Contemporary Art.

Travelling Fair

Since 5 years Blickfang is a hot spot for new design in Vienna. The travelling fair started in Germany; it resides since 17 years in Stuttgart and since 12 years in Zurich. Tokyo is the newest destination: from 30 Oct - 03 Nov 2008 Blickfang brings international design to Tokyo.

The Sydney Corner in Vienna

In 2005 the Blickfang Vienna featured guest designers from the Netherlands, 2006 from Istanbul and last year Portugese designers presented their talent. In October 2008 you can find new talents from Sydney.

"Australia’s relatively young history, its openness as a country of immigration and its rich cultural diversity have enabled an idiosyncratic “can-do” attitude to develop in art and design, which is free of historical ballast and has brought forth immense creative potential. One of the around 140 designers is the German label goyagoya and its more playful line lovelove by goyagoya. goyagoya was founded in September 1999 by Elena Zenero and Johannes Hock. Women's wear by goyagoya is available in boutiques in Europe and at the label's own store "Freud" in Frankfurt. Elena Zenero's fashion is inspired by film, music, personal impressions and her dreams. Pre-Events with Design Themes starting in early October

Vienna celebrates the Blickfang fair already some days before with "Blickfang Spots" - a number of pre-events with a design theme are being held all over Vienna for design fans from the beginning of October; such as "BEIJING NEWS - gegenalltag GO CHINA.
