In April 2008 Amsterdam based Tomas Overtoom, owner of the new clothing company Apparel OntFront, launched the one piece collection Sidewalk Tailoring, designed by Liza Koifman.
OntFront, founded in October 2005 by Tomas Overtoom and Liza Koifman, is a platform for underground youth culture in Amsterdam. On the alternative fashion week in
Amsterdam (www.offschedule.nl) Apparel OntFront premiered.
New style of fashion called "City Slick"
The new style of men’s fashion combines classical elements of men’s tailoring with cutting edge street fashion: the result is a hooded blazer!

Liza lived in St. Petersburg until she was nine. Then she moved to the Netherlands where she is currently based. In 2007 Liza graduated in art direction from the Netherlands Film and Television Academy in Amsterdam; her specialization was costume design.
Video from the presentation of Apparel OntFront at the Paradiso in Amsterdam on 28 March 08.
On stage you can see Big Boy Caprice & Vaanya Diva, featured by Italo-Argentine DJ/producer Shablo (myspace.com/shablo).
Shablo was born in Buenos Aires, moved in the late 80s to Italy and stays now in Amsterdam. He composes even sound-tracks for films and commercials.
The music is from the album
"The Second Feeling" by Shablo (released in Spring 2008). Movie edited and camera by Nine878(2.1).
The hooded blazer is a mix of
street wear (a hood with embroidered headphones and mini jack plugs on
the draw strings) and English tailoring (a fitted quality pin-stripe
garment). It bridges the gap between these two distinct styles. The black and white pin stripe fabric is a Viscose mix which has been exclusively produced for Apparel OntFront in Istanbul.
