Unrath & Strano The German based designer duo Klaus Unrath and Ivan Strano presented their new Unrath & Strano collection at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week on 30 January 2008 in Berlin. The designers are wellknown for using exclusive material such as electronically printed fabrics, partly handsewn ready-to-wear and couture eveningwear for women.
This year's main theme is the modern film heroin and the contradictions she has to handle: she is sexy :: feisty, masculine :: feminine, strong :: weak ... but all the time she is futuristic and seductive. fig.: In this piece made of futuristic-baroque wallpaper patterned fabric you will find again contradictions: a collar shirt :: a shirt with wider décolleté, a black mini dress :: slim pants, drapery on the shirt :: skinny dress.
