about wearing TRENDS
spring/summer 2008
US stylist Shaun Gannon started her own business in August 2007. Since this time the Wild on Style Image Consulting out of Ft. Lauderdale polished the existing wardrobe of several clients. Shaun chooses new clothes after the personality, lifestyle and aspirations of her clients.
“My mission with Wild on Style is to enrich my clients lives and provide them with a new sense of self empowerment by giving them the essentials they need to create fabulous looks on a daily basis,” explains Gannon.
For Shaun Gannon the role of a style consultant is to update wardrobes; keep the client informed of the latest designers and trends; offer unique, one-of-a-kind pieces of apparel that clients would not otherwise know about; inform and educate as to how to dress according to body type and what color, cut and style looks best.
Shaun Gannon's advice to wear trendy items
Question: On your website www.wildonstyle.com you publish your favourite styles for
this Spring/Summer 2008. Have you experienced that seasonal trendy fashion items
don't depend on an individual type and can be combined with many different
personal styles?
Shaun Gannon: "Seasonal trendy fashion items most definitely depend on an individual type. It takes a certain type of personality to feel comfortable wearing the “trends”. A person with a conservative personal style would never feel comfortable in a pair of gladiator sandals. It truly takes a sense of openness to be able to step outside your shell and be bold."
Question: Please give us your advice to handle seasonal trends! How many of the Must
Haves of a season are allowed to combine with an individual style to keep
the person "unique" and to prevent the impression of being a Fashion Victim?
Shaun Gannon: "Seasonal trends can be very overpowering. Its best to never try and pull off more than 2 trends in one outfit. You want to maintain your personal style with an added touch of something seasonal."
