Sandrina Fasoli for Mango
spring/summer 2009
Provocant 'naive' touch and tuxedo inspired pleats
Belgium based designer duo and winner of the El Botón-Mango Fashion Award 2007 Sandrina Fasoli and Michaël Marson have created the 11-pieces 'Sandrina Fasoli' collection for Mango.
The graduates of the École Nationale Supérieure des
Arts Visuels de La Cambre added their own vision of femininity with an extraordinary provocant 'naive' touch in the pastel
colors lavender, old rose and cloud combined with black.
The silhouettes of the very light silk and gauze pieces are loose; on some you will find pleats inspired by the classical (men's suit with typical pleated shirt) tuxedo.
With this new vision focused on the feminine universe, the two designers have received
critical acclaim from the international press and from professionals within the sector,
receiving various awards such as the Hyères Grand Prix del Festival des Arts de la
Mode of 2003, the Weekend Fashion Award, the Prix Modo Bruxellae 2006, and the El
Botón-MANGO FASHION AWARDS 2007.
Their first collection seduced the Japanese and South Korean
public and their latest collections have sold well in Belgium, France, Japan and the
United States.
The Sandrina Fasoli for Mango collection will arrive at the stores in January
2009 www.mango.com.
