Later Vera returned to Germany to become the project manager of a joint venture between Quelle and Steilmann, which lead to her next promotion, ladies fashion wear buyer for Quelle.

In 1998 Vera was lured to London to become product/ production Manager for Killy and Nevica, Ski and Sports wear, where she also managed to fit in a fashion design and marketing course at St Martins College of Art and Design.
