While working on the set William Chang Suk Ping, production designer, cutter, and costume designer in one person, used music by Norah Jones, Cat Power, or Otis Redding, to create the atmosphere for the film. This movie is made of one stylistic concept born out of a holistic view. WILLIAM CHANG SUK PING studied Industrial-Design at the Vancouver School of Arts. Back in Hongkong in 1981 his career in art, design, and film started. Since 1988 he works in the film development, as production designer, and costume designer with Wong Kar-Wai. Since the movie ASHES OF TIME he even is responsible for the cutting. This combination makes him unique in the world of film! William Chang works beneath as an interior architect in Hongkong and Shanghai.
