The tea service with the lovely pattern Ceylon is designed by Augarten art director Claudia Stuhlhofer-Mayr in 2006. Before Stuhlhofer-Mayr started her work at Augarten Wien in 2004, the designer has been in the art team of Hermès Paris for twelve years and designed some of its world-famous silk scarves and jewellery collections. This pattern on the exclusive porcelain is made of the same fashionability!
Ceylon pays homage to the famous porcelain made by Augarten for the palais in Brno (today in Czech Republic) in 1724. Later the noble family Dubsky bought the palais and one room full of porcelain is today international renowned as the "Dubsky Room". The golden circle visualizes the raising sun in the East. You can find parts of an Indian flowers and other lovely details like the butterfly and the beetle. It is perfectly made for tea on an warm afternoon in spring!

In 1718 Augarten was founded. It was Europe’s second porcelain manufactory. In the 1920ies the manufactory started to produce designs by contemporary artists including Josef Hoffmann, Michael Powolny, Franz von Zülow, and other representatives of the Vienna Workshops (Wiener Werkstätte).
