On 4th October 2007 Y-3 celebrated its five year anniversary and the opening of its first location in Paris with an exclusive in-store event. Y-3 has opened stores across Asia, Europe and the US since September 2004. Additional cities will follow in Autumn 07 - the most prestigious will be the monobrand store opening in Miami on 20th October 2007.

‘My desire was to create elegant and chic sportswear. Y-3 has been born from the fusion of the seeming opposites of sport and style. Together with adidas we worked on forming something that didn’t exist and that would completely project the future. You can see the developments today, I still feel like a visionary.’ Yohji Yamamoto

fig.: Y-3 Store Paris is located close to Yohji Yamamoto’s Y’s boutique. The store has been designed to follow Y-3’s global signature retail concept. The 160 sqm bi-level space is characterized by a contemporary black, white and orange minimalist style.
